Cathedral Landscape and Fencing were recently asked to revamp and increase the area of a driveway in St Austell. The customer had an open grassed area that they wanted transforming into a parking area.
The Team worked hard excavating the area ready for the base of the driveway to be laid. Along the way they had a few issues to overcome, including a repair to a mains water pipe!
Once the area was excavated the team worked on the soakaway areas. The main drive was protected in membrane and hardcore compacted in layers to create a solid and immovable base. The next step involved a layer of sand before interlocking Aco Ground Guard tiles were laid over the entire area. The final stage was the customers choice of gravel 14mm granite chippings laid over the whole area resulting in a solid, attractive and useable driveway ready for immediate use.
Our customer was very pleased with our work and delighted his new driveway was completed in time for his daughter’s summer wedding.
